About me

I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.  I offer long-term and brief counselling to adults; providing a confidential, non-judgemental and safe space where we can explore anything you find difficult, confusing or upsetting.

I have experience with a wide range of issues, such as anxiety and depression and believe a relationship of trust is important in counselling work.

The aim of counselling is to provide a safe space so you may reflect on your experiences and to try to make sense of your situation. Psychodynamic counselling seeks to understand how the present situation may be influenced by past experiences, often in childhood.  The counselling work I provide helps you to understand how your current difficulties and patterns may be repeated throughout life.  It can help explore unresolved issues that are outside of your awareness, which may be affecting behaviour and mood. We will work together to enable you to understand your emotions and reactions.

Finding a counsellor can be confusing, it is important that you feel the relationship with a counsellor is right for you.
